Yayoi Kusama

Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama really loves dots. Ever as a small girl she saw the world trough a screen of tiny dots. As an artist she has made photographs, sculptures and paintings using dots to cover everything. This process she calls ‘obliteration’, which means the complete destruction of every trace of something. One of her latest works is the Obliteration room, a popular interactive installation in the Gallery of Modern Art in Queensland. Everything in the room is turned white. People are invited to obliterate all surfaces with colored adhesive dots.
